What people found when they came aboard
"We took the Morning Calm Cruise as a group of four, mostly as an excuse to get off the island before the city woke up. The breakfast on the foredeck was genuinely lovely — not just a plate of supermarket pastries. The captain adjusted our route when one of us mentioned wanting a closer look at the container ships coming through. Small thing, but it made the whole trip feel considered."

"We chartered the Island Passage for my wife's birthday — eleven of us altogether. The two island stops were well-chosen. The paddleboards got used more than expected. Lunch was genuinely a two-course affair, not a sandwich situation. The crew was attentive without hovering. We've done charter days before where the food was an afterthought; this was clearly not that."

"The Weekend Coastal Voyage was the first time I'd slept on a yacht. Not sure what I was expecting, but waking up at anchor near Kusu with the water completely calm was something I wasn't prepared for. The double cabin was compact but comfortable. Dinner on the first evening was the best part — fresh food, genuinely cold drinks, and very little noise except the water."

"Brought my parents for the Morning Calm Cruise as an anniversary gift. They haven't been on the water here in years. The whole thing was relaxed, which was exactly right for them. The crew was calm and good-humoured, which settled my mother, who was initially a little nervous. They came back talking about the light on the water more than anything else."

"We took twelve colleagues on the Island Passage as a team outing. I wasn't sure how a yacht charter would work for a mixed group — some love being on the water, others were sceptical. The crew handled it well. The kayaks and paddleboards drew out even the reluctant ones. The fly-bridge lounge was popular with everyone else. It worked in a way I hadn't quite expected."

"We did the Weekend Coastal Voyage with three other couples. Six of us across two double cabins and one twin. The night at anchor near Kusu was genuinely the highlight — still water, good food, and the city visible but distant. The one thing I'd flag is that the twin cabin is better suited to friends than a couple. Worth asking about configuration when you book. But otherwise, a trip I'd do again."

Some fuller accounts
A 30th birthday: fourteen guests, one full day
Chen Hui · Full-Day Island Passage · January 2026
The situation
Organising a birthday for fourteen people with different preferences — some outdoorsy, others not — and wanting something different from the usual restaurant dinner or bar crawl.
What happened
The Full-Day Island Passage at full capacity. Two island stops gave people who wanted to swim or kayak the chance to do that, while the fly-bridge lounge worked for everyone else. A two-course lunch mid-voyage was the centrepiece of the day.
How it went
The group used every piece of water sports equipment. The birthday guest called it the best day she could remember in Singapore. Six of the fourteen have since asked about their own bookings.
"I was nervous about filling fourteen spots and making everyone happy. Turns out the format does that for you — there's something for every kind of person."
An anniversary: two people, one overnight voyage
Mei & Richard Tan · Weekend Coastal Voyage · February 2026
The situation
Looking for a 10th anniversary experience that felt meaningful — not a hotel, not another restaurant — but something that required a proper step away from the usual week.
What happened
The Weekend Coastal Voyage as two guests — well below the maximum capacity. The crew treated the occasion with care: dinner at anchor was arranged to feel appropriate for the evening, not just another charter meal.
How it went
They described the night at anchor near Kusu Island as the quietest and most present they'd felt in Singapore for years. Rebooked the Morning Calm Cruise two months later for a smaller, different reason.
"It was just the two of us, but the crew made the whole thing feel as though that was exactly the right number of people."
A family morning: three generations, two grandparents
Fatimah Cahyani · Morning Calm Cruise · March 2026
The situation
Eight family members across three generations, including two grandparents in their seventies and two children under ten. Wanted something that worked for everyone without overwhelming anyone.
What happened
The Morning Calm Cruise — three hours, unhurried pace. The crew prepared life jackets for the children in advance. The grandparents spent most of the voyage on the foredeck watching the container ships; the children watched them instead.
How it went
Everyone was home by 10am, which suited the grandparents perfectly. The children asked about coming back within a day of getting home. The family has since booked two further Morning Calm Cruises.
"Three hours felt just right. My parents weren't tired. The kids weren't bored. That combination is harder to find than it sounds."
